Hexigone Inhibitors are based at the Baglan Energy Park in Port Talbot. The company specialises in safe, smart and highly effective corrosion inhibitors. Taking advantage of recent EU legislation, its product is non-toxic, chromate-free and has been independently proven to be up to ten times more effective than market leading alternatives.
The company has its roots in the region, the technology being originally developed by the company CEO, Dr Patrick Dodds in conjunction with TATA Steel and Swansea University. However, the market potential for its product is global. So the support network in the Wales – and particularly in Neath Port Talbot – is vital to keep the company based there.
Giorgia Cacace, COO at Hexigone, values the help, assistance and encouragement the company has received from Neath Port Talbot Council and the wider Wales support network.
